Winter melon belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family and is commonly used in Vietnam, Thailand, India, and other tropical countries for traditional medicine.
It contains amino acids, mucins, minerals, vitamins B and C. Research on this fruit has identified two triterpenes, alunsenol and mutiflorenol, which have potent antioxidant effects.
According to traditional medicine, winter melon can cool off the inside heat and offers anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Thus, it helps to control comedonal acne, inflammatory acne, and burn marks.

5α-AVOCUTA is an active ingredient developed by Laboratoires Expanscience - France. It is the butyl ester of avocado fruit, which helps strongly inhibit the activity of the type 1 5α-reductase enzyme. It reduces excess sebum production and prevents acne formation. Researchers from Laboratoires Expanscience conducted a clinical trial in collaboration with dermatology experts, where volunteers were instructed to apply a product containing 5α-AVOCUTA on their skin twice a day. The clinical trial, conducted over 3 weeks, showed that the active ingredient 5α-AVOCUTA® reduced oiliness in the T-zone area by up to 78%.
CENTELLA CAST
